Roger graduated with a diploma in Physiotherapy from his homeland New Zealand in 1988, where he worked predominantly with a sports injury clientele. Having moved to Canada in 1992, he continued his studies at the University of Alberta and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy degree. He has worked since then primarily in an orthopedic setting, including Sooke for the last 18 years, treating a cross section of musculoskeletal injuries.
One area of special interest to him is lower extremity biomechanics. He has been evaluating for and prescribing custom-cast orthotics for the last 20 years.
Roger is married to Melanie and has a teenage daughter. His other interests include hiking, photography and gardening.
